As an American Writer, poet, editor and literary Critic, Edgar Poe was born 19th of January 1809 in Boston, Massachusetts in United States. Poe is best known from his poetries and short stories which are his tales of mystery and the macabre. Edgar is the second child of the actors David and Elizabeth. His father uncontrolled the family and his mother died in 1811. Therefore, he is taken in by John and Frances Allan to Richmond of Virginia. Tension developed later as Edgar Allan and John Allan repeatedly clashed over Poe’s debuts. Edgar attended the University of Virginia and left after a year due to lack of money. He argued with John Allan over the funds for his education and registered in the United States Army in 1827.

               At that time, his publishing career began with the anonymous collection which is named Tamerlane and Other Poems and credited only to “A Bostonian”. After his brother’s death, Edgar began more earnest attempts to start his career as a Writer. He was one of the first Americans to live by Writing alone and was vulnerable by the lack of an international copyright law. “The Narrative of Arthur Gordon Pym of Nantucket” was published and widely reviewed in 1838 which is Poe’ s novel. And he could become as assistant editor of Burton’ s Gentleman’ s Magazine. And also, he published lots of Articles, Stories and reviews that enchasing his reputation as a trenchant critic. In 1839, Poe has published the collection of Tales of the Grotesque and Arabesque. However, Poe is very emotional writer and his final word are “Lord help my poor soul”.
